Our Mission

The mission of Brooke Point High School is
to empower our students to meet the challenges of their future.

Our Vision

Students:

Our vision for Brooke Point is for students to take an active role in preparing for their future and meeting their full potential.  Students take responsibility for creating an environment of respect for self, peers, staff, and the community at large.

Staff:

The staff actively works to improve themselves and broaden their knowledge in discipline areas, educational theories, and technologies.  They act as role models within the school and community.  Motivating students, each other, and members of the community to work cooperatively, the staff creates the appropriate environment for students to meet the challenges of their future.

Parents and Community:

Parents and community, in concert with staff and students, ensure positive contributions necessary for healthy and engaged students at school, at home, and in the community.

Our Core Beliefs

We believe that:

  • A safe, orderly, drug free, tobacco free, non-violent, and accommodating environment is necessary for learning.

  • High student achievement is a direct reflection of high expectations for students and cooperation between the school and the community.

  • Successful learning occurs where mutual respect and awareness of diversity in culture, abilities, and gender are incorporated into the school environment.

  • All students are provided the opportunity to learn and succeed in accordance with their individual abilities and interests.

  • Regular examinations of the needs of the community and adaptations of course offerings that reflect changing populations and interest is necessary.

  • Effective skills in decision-making, in creative problem solving, in critical thinking, in the use of technology, and in interpersonal skills are a foundation on which students build successful futures.

  • Developing social responsibility and awareness toward the greater community encourages our students to be positive agents of change.
